Account Linking Promo

For a limited time only, link your Cryptic Account with a Perfect World Account to receive a special in-game promotional item for one of your Star Trek Online characters:
Perfect World Account Link Reward
If eligible (see details below), you will be able to claim this item through the in-game C-Store, under the ‘Items’ tab.
Reward contains:
• 5,000 Unrefined Dilithium Ore
• A consumable item that grants 2,500 EXP (or Bridge Officer skill points if your character is at max level)
• A random Rare or Very Rare weapon, scaled to your level (space or ground)
• A pack of random ‘Self’ Dual Consumables
• A pack of random ‘Team’ Dual Consumables
NOTE: This item may only be claimed once per account. If you claim it on one character, you will not be able to claim it on a different one.
During this promotion, anyone who links their Cryptic Account to a Perfect World Account, or has linked their accounts in the past, is eligible to receive this promotional item. This promotion is currently not available to those who choose not to link their account or who don’t have a Cryptic Account to link to their Perfect World Account.
To link your accounts, click “Register/ Login” at the top of any page, and then click “Are you a Cryptic user?”. This will take you through the linking flow, and will also allow you to create a Perfect World Account if you do not have one already.
If you choose not to link a Perfect World Account your Cryptic Account at this time, you can do so in the future by signing into the website and clicking “My Account” at the top of any page.

I do not have, and will never have a Facebook account. This is Star Trek Online.... not FaceTrek Online. Keep them separate and get rid of that stupid floating box!

I made the linking as they told but now i found that i cant access with the new PWE account and the Old CRYPTIC too. I will be 4-5 days whithout playing game cause the answer of my problem wiill come in 4 days. Thank to the insane minds that think that was so easy. Please don't link your accounts...

Ok, PWE apparently already had someone with my global handle. Now I was forced to create this one on the PWE side. Yet, when I log into the game, I still have my old Cryptic handle? At what point do I need to start telling people to friend the new PWE handle? Or was it Cryptic's reserving my handle that blocked me from taking that handle on the PWE side??

To the Guys that are made because they did it before this says we still get it. "anyone who links their Cryptic Account to a Perfect World Account, or has linked their accounts in the past" So no need to worry, unless you just closed your older one and start a new account you still get the rewards.

I was told to create a PWE account when I created it several months ago, and I'm pretty annoyed I don't get access to this because of that.

Ragers, you are all retarded, $1 gets you 100 zen now. back in the old system $1 got you 80 points, 100 zen = 80 points the only differance is you have to take an extra step by transferring it to the PWE game/server of your choice! OMG so difficult!

I will never link my account run by a communist country or a company that is only interested in a quick buck an not the quality of their games. I am pissed to no end that I had to create a PWE account just to post. If I am force to link just to play STO I will stop playing permanently!!!!!!!!!!

ive been playing STO for a long time and i think this accoutn syncing thins is rubbish as it practicly gets rid of your cryptic account and i wpuld much rather stick playing with my cryptic account as there wasnt enough infomation given about logging in after the sync and now i want to unsync my accounts

*sigh* This is a Major fail... the website, the more or less forced merge... The forums going to pot... You should know that a Lot of Long time supporters are changing their tune rapidly because of these sudden changes without warning. Even I am having to consider whether I'm going to continue or not, even though I just bought a Lifetime.... Not amused Cryptic/PWE....

If you are having difficulty with the account link feature please do this. If your user name has an UNDERSCORE i.e. "John_Smith" you MUST remove the underscore in order for your to successfully link the Cryptic and Perfect World Accounts. This information IS NOT mentioned in the user name area; so you will NEED to create a new user name or just remove any SPECIAL CHARACTERS used in the user name. (Sadly this is a NEEDED security feature that has been taken away; however we have to deal with it.) Next after the successful linking, you SHOULD be taken to a page that confirms that you have LINKED both accounts (Cryptic and Perfect World) and that now you can change make changes to the account for security purposes. DO CHANGE your password once again inside the PERFECT WORLD change password area. The system will hopefully send that confirmation e-mail to the e-mail that was used to register your STAR TREK ONLINE Account. Do CONFIRM that you as a human did in fact change the said password otherwise, you WILL NOT get into the game. Please take care everyone. Ballermaris

How do I log in under my cryptic name??? I logged in and my PW name is showing. I only used that for that stupid super hero game that i do not play.
