I wish they had made more use of him in voyager, was he in ds9 at all?

Yes, 'Q' was featured early in S1 of DS9 "Q-less". Sisko cleaned his clock. Sufficed to say, Sisko is NOT Captain Picard. That was the only time he appeared in DS9. Sadly, it wasn't much of an episode, either.
