New Temporal Lock Box and Lobi Ships
The Tholians have been up to their old tricks. Their obsession with time travel, the mirror universe, quantum realities and related technologies seems to motivate their every move. Even their ships' warp cores often tear holes in the fabric of the universe when they breach. In addition, newly unclassified evidence suggests the Tholians were responsible, or at least heavily involved, in the loss of the Constitution class U.S.S. Defiant in 2268.
Recently detected activity reveals several Tholian asteroids bases in or around the Azure Nebula. Several Federation and Klingon Starships have been detected at these bases, many of which demonstrate an unusual quantum or temporal signature. A few covert strike teams have been sent to this region. These teams have brought back a handful of amazing discoveries – - among them, 29th Century Starships!
Unfortunately, much of the 29th century technology is missing from these ships – - presumably stripped and now in the hands of the Tholian Assembly. But still much can be learned from these vessels, and a few have been rebuilt with conventional equipment that takes advantage of some of these ships' secrets.

Wells Temporal Science Vessel
Among the ships that have been recovered were Wells Class Temporal Science Vessels. These appear to be the same class as the Federation Timeship encountered by Captain Kathryn Janeway in 2375 (so to speak). As Janeway described in a classified debriefing, "The U.S.S. Relativity's mission was to protect the timeline from temporal incursions." The Federation's interest in these vessels cannot be understated.
The Wells Class Temporal Science Vessel comes with a Tipler Cylinder Universal console module. The Tipler Cylinder can actually rewind time! The dense beryllium cylinder core of this module rotates at near light speed, allowing your ship to perform a Temporal Backstep and rewind time approximately 13 seconds. Your ship's position reverses, and some of your ship's hull and shield damage is restored. Additionally, the cooldown and recharge times on all your abilities are reset.
The Tipler Cylinder is part of a set, and can be used on any Timeship, including the Wells, Mobius, Korath, Krenn, Aeon or Rozhenko class vessels. If you also have a Manheim Device equipped, activating the Temporal Backstep will also cause all nearby foes to freeze in time until the sequence has ended.

Mobius Temporal Destroyer (Mirror Universe)
Mobius Class Temporal Destroyers appear to be similar to the Federation Timeship encountered by Captain Kathryn Janeway. Unlike the Wells Class, however, these ships appear to be from the Mirror Universe, and as mirror universe ships, it is not surprising they seem to be built more for combat, than for protecting the timeline.
The Mobius Class Temporal Destroyer comes with a Manheim Device Universal console module. This console is based on Dr. Paul Manheim's time-gravity work in the early and mid-24th century. His experiments caused ripples in time, now called the Manheim Effect. The Manheim Device console can create quantum duplicates of yourself — one from your past and one from your future.
The Manheim Device is part of a set, and can be used on any Timeship, including the Wells, Mobius, Korath, Krenn, Aeon or Rozhenko class vessels. If you have the Manheim Device and the Tipler Cylinder console equipped, activating Temporal Backstep will also cause all nearby foes to freeze in time until the sequence has ended.

Korath Temporal Science Vessel
Similar to the Federation Wells Class, the Korath Class Temporal Science Vessel comes with a Tipler Cylinder Universal console module.

Krenn Temporal Destroyer (Mirror Universe)
The Krenn Class Temporal Destroyers are not only from the future, but they also appear to be from the Mirror Universe. They are very similar to the Korath Temporal Science Vessels, however, as a mirror universe ship, it is built more for combat.
The Krenn Class Temporal Destroyer comes with a Manheim Device Universal console module.

Aeon Timeship
The Aeon Timeships appear to be the same class as the Federation Timeship encountered by Captain Kathryn Janeway in 2373. The U.S.S. Voyager's encounter with one of these small crafts left them stranded in 1996. That same craft crashed in the High Sierras in 1967, where it was discovered by Henry Starling, who used the technology on the ship to drive Earth’s advancement in computers all through the late 20th century. The Federation's interest in these vessels cannot be understated.
The Aeon Timeships come with a Subatomic Deflector Array. This Deflector provides a small improvement to Starship Flow Capacitors, Particle Generators, Shield Systems and Shield Emitters. The Deflector also enables you to fire a Subatomic Disruptor. This devastating weapon fires a single massive sustained beam capable of breaking apart a target's molecular structure. It can be equipped on any small craft.

Rozhenko Timeship
Presumably named after Alexander Rozhenko, Son of Worf, who has recently funded research into temporal mechanics, the Rozhenko Timeships is a small craft with fantastic power.
The Rozhenko Timeships come with a Subatomic Deflector Array.

Unique Bridges

The Wells Class Temporal Science Vessel, as well as the Mirror Universe Mobius Temporal Destroyer, has its own unique 29th century bridge. While visiting your bridge, you will also be able to access your Account Shared Bank, move into a Small Craft, and contact different ship departments for Duty Officer assignments.

The Korath Temporal Science Vessel, as well as the Mirror Universe Krenn Temporal Destroyer, also has its own unique 29th century bridge, complete with the same amenities listed above. In addition, warriors can also set trophies from a console on the bridge – while these trophies are not displayed, it will allow players to complete the “Bringing Down the House” mission.

i've been tryin to get a temporal destroyer but there to expensive on the exchange is there a wa you can put a price limit next update?
armilianlg @ Oct 2nd, 2012 6:41PM
I just opened a requisition box for the mirror raptor, and to my suprise, the bridge officer seating is EXACTLY the same as the normal/temporal T5 Qin raptor. I purchased c-points for the sole purpose of getting a shot at acquiring the mirror raptor solely because of the bridge officer seating listed above in this release. I read the tooltip information carefully on teh requisition box and the tooltip box displayed the exact same information as listed above in the post. can this be fixed? If not, can I get my requisition box back in order to sell it on teh exchange and get something? So frustrated that I opened the box and basically only recieved a new 'mirror skin' for a ship I already had, instead of a new ship with promised bo seating. If I knew the only thing the box would give me was a new ship costume, I would have NEVER opened it. thanks

See the Tribble patch notes. It'll hit Holodeck this week.
jnohd @ Oct 1st, 2012 9:28AM
PLEASE consider making the hulls interchangeable if you own both. At this point, I prefer the Krenn (as a Tac), but want the look of the Korvath. I can apply the Korvath hull material to the Krenn, but I cannot select the Korvath hull type on my Krenn (and presumably vice-versa) I know of several people who would love to use the Wells but want to use the Mobius skin on it (if they were to get both), not just the Mobius hull material.
sboslayer @ Sep 30th, 2012 8:01AM
O! The Federation using future tech... that wouldn't happen :P Isn't again the prime directive? :P
jnohd
Prime directive is only one-way. You cannot give tech to lesser species/timelines. But they always do whatever they can to get future/superior tech for themselves. Its a double standard thing, very UFP.
korzan1
Actually its covered by the Temporal Directive :P
poopbang
The future UFP is guna be comming and take our tech back :o

well this is fun i spent £40 on geting keys to try and get a ship and you no wot i got nothing but one top of that i only got 173 lobi crystal and feel i have bin robbed.... i could do a lot with £40 and to have spent this and not evon get any thing or anth lobi crystal to bye from the lobi store i wont be doing it agen no matter wot ship or box that comes out i love this game but wots comeing first us or the money
sharrashimada
Nobody forced you to buy. Its your own decision. Oh and a good advice for the future. Invest your next 40 bucks in an dictionary. Would much help to read what you are trying to tell us.
jnohd
Buy it off the exchange. Always cheaper to buy keys and sell them instead of opening boxes. Best average Lobi/box I saw was 4.9, and between all friends/fleetmates, hundreds of boxes did not net any timeships directly. You are far better off buying the ships and merely opening the boxes you loot at random if you want, not grinding out hundereds of boxes in the hopes of a lucky box.
poopbang
I got a temporal ship on 1st try with a key that I won from a fleet trivia question deal. PWN!
ozujsko @ Sep 28th, 2012 5:55AM
The Manheim Device is part of a set, and can be used on any Timeship, including the Wells, Mobius, Korath, Krenn, Aeon or Rozhenko class vessels. does this means that consoles are acc bound or this is one more unclear statment from cryptic
arbrielfamily @ Sep 28th, 2012 3:12AM
Bugs aside and how nice these new lock box offerings are I am very disappointed again and for the second time that there is nothing for engineer based characters. Please can we have for the next 2 lock box offerings focus purely on engineer characters to re-address the severe lack of availability and hopefully be Iconian for both rounds?
chiefkelvin @ Sep 27th, 2012 4:43PM
These are some awesome ships. Hope that I can afford them. Not to say that some powerful ships should come cheap. It's just that I hope the price is reasonable.
jnohd
It isnt. Better off selling keys on the exchange and buying the ship reward boxes from other players.
galr25 @ Sep 27th, 2012 12:30PM
BUG!!! I got a Mirror Qin for the ensign engineering slot as stated above in the stats , but upon assigning my Boffs i discover that the engineering Boff slot has remained Tactical, yet here and on star trek wiki is states it should be engineering!!! Was my only reason to get the Mirror Qin and only main difference between Mirror Qin and Normal Qin. So would like STO to fix this please!!!
captainrevo1
Confirmed for me as well.
sdavistator
Good thing I did not open mine yet. Whew!
robertjenkins @ Sep 27th, 2012 9:31AM
this would be even better if u would let people know where in the hell u go to get them if they are not c-store ships..... lockboxes are really annoying and the keys cost to much
kirkryder @ Sep 27th, 2012 9:15AM
Nothing like Galaxy Quest ship!!! Just had a look...
badname834854 @ Sep 27th, 2012 8:55AM
Guys, you can flip the image of the Korath Bridge to make it look different from the Wells Bridge, but it aint; all you did was change the hairs and made the textures Red/Klingon-like. Lame.
kritheaxenos @ Sep 27th, 2012 1:01AM
For the love of god, yes. Yes. We know. Galaxy Quest. The reference doesn't have to be called out by everybody that spots it.

Omg hasn't anyone ever watch Galaxy Quest the Omega 13 and 13 sec rewind time is from that movie.
tom61sto @ Sep 26th, 2012 3:23PM
"The Tipler Cylinder is part of a set, and can be used on any Timeship, including the Wells, Mobius, Korath, Krenn, Aeon or Rozhenko class vessels." Is the listing of both faction's ships an indicator that the consoles are Account Bound, or just expediency on the writers part?
r3ad2
They mean both faction ships get the console, and they are character bound, not account.
dlanub1s @ Sep 26th, 2012 2:50PM
only 13 second? i know a one manned vessal that goes back 7 days!
ricosakara
Galaxy Quest had the exact same ability - it was called the "Omega 13."
timelord79 @ Sep 26th, 2012 12:17PM
Ok, pretty much everyone can see, that the Klingon bridge is just the Fed bridge in red colors right? Was the interior decorator a Ferengi who sold the same bridge twice?
manzorian @ Sep 26th, 2012 11:48AM
Sadly, not buying into the "hype" over these lock boxes. Chance of getting one of these ships is next to never. Again, PWE is all about $$$
stomperx99 @ Sep 26th, 2012 10:08AM
What we need em to say is WHEN will it come out???
pmarquardt @ Sep 26th, 2012 9:47AM
The Tipler Cylinder can actually rewind time! The dense beryllium cylinder core of this module rotates at near light speed, allowing your ship to perform a Temporal Backstep and rewind time approximately 13 seconds.
So Cryptic has run out of ideas, borrows ideas from GalaxyQuest and effectively introduces the Omega 13 to Star Trek Online. Intriguing.
tinman56
Have you ever heard of a homage? It could just be a little nod to the awesome movie that parodies the hell out of star trek anyway.
r3ad2
Don't forget Omega force
jnohd @ Sep 26th, 2012 9:27AM
Wow... that Krenn is looking veeeeery tempting for a Fleet Qin Raptor driver like me... Have to wonder if it has a better pivot point, which would more than make up for the loss of 5 Weapons power...
jnohd
Better Pivot, and very much more fun as a result. Miss my Fleet Qin, but I wont go back until I see the pivot fixed. The Krenn/Korvath consoles together make for interesting times (literally)
spike6942 @ Sep 26th, 2012 8:49AM
i for one love the new ships. i cant wait for the korath! but what about fixing ingame content and items, the tor khat needs the wings to drop, korrat needs fixed, some ships need the hardpoints redone(badly)WE NEED NEW CONTENT!!!, stuff like that. oh yeah, when are you going to launch the NSEA Protector?
