By PWE_BranFlakes @ November 9, 2012 at 3:00pm

Not only are we having a sale on Lifetime Subscriptions from now until Monday, November 12th, at noon PDT, but we recently added a new benefit to the program.
As of October 10th, 2012, all current and future Lifetime Subscribers have gained instant access to all Veteran Rewards, regardless of purchase date! This includes the 1000-Day ships that were introduced in this blog.
Now is the perfect time to pick up a Lifetime Subscription to STO so you can play forever as a Gold Member and never pay a monthly subscription fee again!

Didn't even post my whole message. It pretty much said that the BUY NOW button isnt working for me and you just lost $200.00. May want to look into it if STO devs see this. - I don't care enough now to try and resolve the issue since I already wasted 45m trying to sign in

Do you really want to pay money for a game that's doomed to die after the last season 7 adjustments?

Want the bug ship so much? simple...get like 8 or 10 fleet ship modules and sell them on the exchange it takes a bit of time but in the end you will have enough money to buy it on the exchange instead of spending twice or more and risk never getting it...
perfectself82
You can buy a bug ship for 50m now? O.o
pardusian141 @ Nov 10th, 2012 1:58PM
I'll just wait until the next sale. Or the sale after that....Or even the sale after THAT! lol.
bbfknight @ Nov 10th, 2012 1:09PM
I just spend $30 or 3000 zen on stupid reinforcement packs trying to get the bug ship and I got nothing!!!! this lottery system has to go!! it is complete crap! gold and LTS members should not have to pay extra for this shit...

It does not say anywhere that Gold/Lifers get a free bug ship, But lifers do get a free kick-ass ship. Just avoid the boxes, If you can't resist limit yourself to 1-2 keys per month/stipend. You wouldn't go buy $30 worth of scratch and win tickets? (well, some people do) but the average person won't.

You got some duty officers, that you could possibly post on the Exchange and sell for EC's. If you then use those EC's to buy the attack ship on the Exchange, you might still pull off a win. Unfortunately, you'd have to have gotten some pretty good duty officers to add up to the current price, though. Sorry.

I'mA Life time subscriber and i dont think its fair to give away all the veteran rewards some of us have been here seince beta and now some 90 day wonder comes along buys this and boom they get the 1000 day reward how unfair is that ??? Really this is just another way you hosing over your long time players .....

If they were really "Veteran" rewards they would be based on accomplishments in the game - which would be a crime to just hand them out to a newbie just walking in the door. From the beginning, these rewards were mislabeled and therefore misunderstood by most. They should have been called "Loyalty" rewards for your time of being a subscriber. If you look at it this way it makes since on how they are being handled but being a company wanting to attract more LTS-ers they decided to attract more people by offering up all the rewards right off the bat. Again this is not based on performance or experience in the game - it's something that they give to attract people to be subscribers.

unfortunately I can't afford that right now. Maybe next month but by then the sale is over so I can't buy it. Do they have an installment plan? Like something I can pay monthly thats not the gold membership?

Just save up for the next sale. Fortunately with STO F2P does not restrict you from playing any content.

I have been asked by my fleet members, if they buy the lifetime membership after the sale has ended do they still get all the Vet awards or is that also only for the duration of the sale?

"As of October 10th, 2012, all current and future Lifetime Subscribers have gained instant access to all Veteran Rewards, regardless of purchase date!" Since they include all future subscribers in the post, it *should* still unlock. The important things to remember, however, is that they could change the terms yet again to satisfy all the plaintive crys of "but I'm better because I've been here longer and am no longer a revenue stream since I already bought everything, and that new guy isn't responsible for bringing in new money to support our game!" (I paraphrased a bit) and that the price will go up until they do the next Lifer sale. ... Ok, I apologize for getting a more than a little off topic, but they could easily change the terms in response to all the complaints. I do acknowledge that even some longtime Lifers still put money into the game gambling on lockboxes and the like, and buying up Zen to spend on the dilithium exchange.

Theres a lifetime sub sale?
qqqqii
If $200 for a normally overpriced $300 lts is a sale, then yes, there's a sale.
kobayashikumiho @ Nov 9th, 2012 4:42PM
This should be a bound to account lock box prize in the Assimiliated Lock Box. Since its BtC people couldn't sell it on the exchange so I could see Cryptic selling a lot of keys at $1.25 USD. Assuming 1:300 odds, that's $375 USD. If someone already is a LTS owner, then the other top prize would be an assimiliated ship, half Borg Sphere half Catain Carrier, for example.

The Chimera was my favourite entry in the design the Enterprise-F competition but alas well outside my price range in this context.
