Personally id like to see a new playable faction romulans, cardassians or maybe even the dominon something more then the klingons. And i would like to start fresh on the trail so to speak in another faction not start at level 20.whats the point of making klingon ships for any rank lower then commander when you cannot earn them anyways...kinda pointless dont you think? Anyways a new playable faction would be real nice let us hope we get a new faction
jimknopf107
A good point. Seems they didnt want to make the klingon party playable- but they had to make it playable, so they still push their hole energy in fed, they get new ships, new clothes, new missions, all day long. And KVS? Nothing.
scotttetrius
Correction to Jimknopf107. The KDF and the Romulans were always the 2 most talked about factions since the start. and when they decided to make the KDF playable at a certain point in the game from seasons 1-4, they had levels 1-40 then 1-50 after Ancient Enamies. but unfortunatly the player base was still too small even after Season 2... at the begining of season 4 Crossfire they scrapped levels 1 (Warrior)-19(Lt. Commander) which was a shame but with the way the game was already made for them in the KDF it was very hard to level up your characters with the lack of missions. since Season 4 or 5 they brought out Alpha and more ships for it then comes F2P which stopped all of the KDF development

I hope next year, there will be more episodes then last year
zeuxidemus001 @ Dec 30th, 2012 6:29PM
I just want to see them start showing the IP some justice and integrity instead of these not so well thought out cash grabs that pretty much if I was dead I would roll over in my grave over.
borealum42 @ Dec 29th, 2012 7:25PM
From a player stand point I do like how the Enterprise show up to aid in the Tau sector block from time to time but it kind of makes little sense in a fluff stand point...Here i got a ship built to fight Borg and from say my Captian's perspective its rather Insulting that it would show up to aid him while fighting Klingons, cardassians and so forth... It would of been wicked awsome if they had him randomly show up as you leveled up then show up only when you're level 50 and so ovr powered that you could laugh at the Klingon, Cardassians, tholians. Bonus if you give us "radical" Fed captains the chance to tell him off and make him leave..

Jolan Tru?
patchoulol @ Dec 29th, 2012 2:56PM
As much as I like the Odyssey, this is not her best angle. Still, I hope to see another dramatic entrance from the Enterprise sometime, perhaps as part of an STF? The Houston's making our flagship look bad on a regular basis.
cheroj @ Dec 29th, 2012 1:35PM
The F ought to be destroyed. It is an insult to the Enterprise legacy to bring in a bunch of useless and boring NPCs to command and crew an unwieldy and ugly ship.

haters gotta hate :P

With luck they will start to bring the detail f the story content up to the same spec as some of the other MMO's currently on the market. I used to play this game almost everyday but with the intriduction of The Old Republic I have moved away simply because TOR offers a more immersive story were as STO is go here shoot this you win kinda thing.
dialgastar
Agreed. I also used to play STO every day, spending way more hours than I should have in-game, getting Dilithium and repeating STFs religiously. Now, I've gotten tired of the endless grinding for Dilithium, especially with the recent changes to earning it, and the Romulan missions/marks system seems like just more grinding to max. out your reputation and get that special cloaking device feature or whatnot. When Star Wars: The Old Republic went Free-to-Play, I decided to download the game and give it a shot. I'm actually really impressed with it. Practically every character and mission in SWTOR has voiceovers, unlike in STO. And with Bioware having a much bigger budget than Perfect World/Cryptic, it makes sense why SWTOR has a better and longer storyline, especially with the fact that you can alter the story depending on the choices you make in the game. Again, something that STO has not, and never will, be able to do, because just like consolidating the entire galaxy map into one sector, choice-altering story content would also result in re-structuring the whole game, which PWE/Cryptic won't do. As such, I now spend most of my time in SWTOR. I'm still a Star Trek fan, but SWTOR is much more fun nowadays. And I play casually too, so I don't have to worry about grinding.
admiraltirad235
Bioware made swtor a piece of junk
admiraltirad235
Bioware made swtor a piece of junk, I remember when it WAS good, but it did have a better storyline.
wraith2727
Yeah i also played star wars the old republic and after i finished story theres little things for me left to do. best equipment you can get quite quckly and new content comes extremly slowly. here at worst case we get new ships while at sw you get robes wich are same but diferent color. also at sw ewery expansion that will come out you will need to pay for it. also at sw you get only free story since lvl 50 gear is artifact quality and therefore you will not be able to wear it as f2p and also because of that you will not hawe need for runing flashpoints etc. while here you get all game free and practicly you need to buy zen points with real money only to speed up your progres while at star wars you will need to waste your money only to make game bearly playable.
ghqcommand @ Dec 28th, 2012 10:15PM
Happy New Year - 2013 in STO will be interesting for sure. No doubt in all the new content coming there will be new ways to play, much like when EV suits first came and we done a space walk. What next I wonder, flying a shuttle and landing it on a ground map? Whatever comes, season 6 and 7 would indicate it is always going to impress is from here on.
psycoticvulcan @ Dec 28th, 2012 8:26PM
Does this mean we can finally jump to 2410?
brigadooom @ Dec 28th, 2012 8:09PM
I can never get used to just how ugly the Odyssey is.
darthpostal
While it does often look somewhat bad on screenshots, I like how it looks in game.
belldandy01
Can't expect all Starfleet ships to have perfect lines that look perfect in all angles.
cheroj
Disgusting that the title of Enterprise would be given to such an ugly ship, not to mention staffed by a crew that is neither unique, important, or in the least bit attractive, They are just random NPCs who aren't worthy to continue the Enterprise legacy.
sodansodantok
cheroj: tell me more about the star trek show which featured Enterprise-F and her crew so I can see and say they are boring, otherwise your argument is invalid
atomictiki @ Dec 28th, 2012 7:16PM
2013: Year of moar grind? Please no. More FEs!
rickysmith1 @ Dec 28th, 2012 5:24PM
It's cool the way she those appear from time to time in the Tau Dewa Systems, and it's nice to see you've given her heavyer weapons (Tricobalt Torpedoes). Perhaps it's time to have her involved properly in the next series, work along side her perhaps go out your way to rescue her, given shes on 'The Frontier'. Hell maybe a Mini- Rep system based around her if you wanna be brave! MORE F, LESS PFFT!
rickysmith1
*LESS F, MORE SPELLCHECK lol
falcon3000prime @ Dec 28th, 2012 4:39PM
With regard to the F's big moment, I couldn't agree more--it was underwhelming. To get the "Sir, there's another ship--it's the Enterprise!!!" treatment, the F should have come in guns-a-blazing, demonstrating what this Odyssey-class starship can do. Instead, in the name of balance, it was just one more cruiser added to the engagement. Frankly, any Odyssey-class ship should give the enemy fits; it's the class of the flagship, bigger and brawnier than anything else in the fleet. Please, devs, consider that for 2013. Whatever the opposite of "nerf" is, do that to the Odysseys--and let's see the F from time to time.
theparanoid @ Dec 28th, 2012 3:52PM
Nope that default red fed emblem on the oddessy class
cptkickbutt @ Dec 28th, 2012 2:35PM
The devs might be part of their own fleet so the logo is the logo for their fleet :)
dshot79 @ Dec 28th, 2012 1:45PM
It would be cool to see the Enterprise F wondering space at some point...maybe controlled by a devious dev. At least to see the ship around from time to time :) I mean the "big moment" it arrived, wasn't that spectacular. Don't get me wrong great wrong, just seemed not as great as expected, maybe it needed some VO for the entrance or something, just thinking out loud.
stomperx99 @ Dec 28th, 2012 1:06PM
Call me a noob but why is the emblem red Instead of blue?.
rapha1983
think they have thier own colour for the devs and possible because she is the federations flagship
horgahn
All the C-Store ships have that in the preview, for some reason.
zerobang
Cryptic quality work ;P
