  What the KDF needs are some appropriate non-Klingon ships, i.e. Orion, Gorn, and other major races now flying the KDF banner.

  any questions about if the Enterprise-C was the fourth ship to carry the name, look on google imagines, it has the 1701-C ship commissioning plaque..... it says "Ambassador class; FOURTH ship to bare the name...."

  Enterprise E was not lost, its featured in a story arc mission, when you're retaking Deep Space 9 from the Dominion. I'm wondering however if we'll ever see the Enterprise J here?

  That was the F. Did you not notice it was an Odyssey Class? The V shaped neck was a dead giveaway. And the secondary hull was a differernt shape, less cylindrical than the E. And when you board the Enterprise during the anniversary event, you can see an Aquarius class escort on the blueprints where the shuttle bay should be. The E did not have that.

  In the last Ask Cryptic DStahl basically said that it is not likely that the "J" will be in STO because it is such a large ship. It would not fit that scale that the game engine could easily handle.

  nope it was the fifth to be named enterprise such as NX-01, NCC-1701, NCC-1701-A, NCC-1701-B, and finally NCC-1701-C and that makes 5

  FYI, in "the fourth Federation starship", the emphasis is on the word Federation, which did not exist when the NX-01 was launched by the United Earth Starfleet. This is the same reason given for why, in "Relics", the Enterprise D computer told Scotty that there have been five Federation ships with that name. :-)

  Nope it was the fourth, the Federation of planets did not exist yet and the NX-01 did not have a Naval Construction Contract number of 1701

  It's a lovely ship. I look forward to when Cryptic can start pulling in some of the ships from the soft canon ST-RPG that was done by FASA. A D-10 would be a lovely great ship for we KDF types. As near as I can parse the licencing the FASA game ships are fair game, and they had a number of ships for the gorn romulan, tholian etc in there. Could be some great stuff.

  What's with all the excitement over a stupid mid 24th century starship? It's 2409! The only place you should see Constitutions, Oberths, Mirandas and Ambassadors is in a museum, not along the front lines during several simulatenous wars. There should be more new, original ships out there that did not exist during the 23rd and 24th centuries. Warships that were designed to counter the threat posed by the newly expanded Klingon Empire, the Tholians, the Tal Shiar, the Undine, the Borg, the True Way insurgents, the Breen, and the Iconians. The Chimera, Vesta, and Odyssey class were a step in the right direction. More ships for the 25th century, not from the 23rd and 24th. And the NX class? We've seen what a 23rd century starship can do to a fleet of NX class ships. If a single shot from a Constitution could destroy an NX class, then a shot from a 25th century ship should obliterate it.

  There's always an in-game explanation for these things, though. For example, story-wise, the in-game NX is actually a new type of ship ("light escort") that's only made to look like an NX as a design homage. I'm sure they'll have a similar story for the T5 version of the Ambassador. (As for the Connie, Oberth and Miranda, well, they're T1 so it's not like they can stand up to 25th century ships anyway...)

  To be honest i wouldnt mind the NCC-1701-E to be brought up in this game though its very majestic granted a very crud based design but very powerful

  It was the 5th ship to bear the name; First - NX, under Capt. Archer. Second - 1701, Kirk's Constitution in TOS and later refit in the Motion Picture. Third - 1701-A. Provided to Kirk at the end of ST:The Voyage Home for saving the whales. Fourth - 1701-B. Excelsior class, seen in ST: Generations under Capt. Harriman. Fifth - 1701-C. Ambassador class. Seen in ST:TNG under Capt. Rachael Garrett.

  No. Are you saying that the Refit and 1701-A are not Federation starships? It said Federation to leave out the carriers and frigate from earth history. pharaoh6000 is right.

  the NX-01 was the first starfleet enterprise not the first federation ship, so pharoah has it somewhat off in the wording, regardless it is the fifth starship to recive the name.

  @jarelseth The refit is the original Enterprise it's not a seprate ship Let's count Federation only ships NCC 1701 1st NCC 1701 A 2nd NCC 1701 B 3rd NCC 1701 C 4th NCC 1701 D 5th NCC 1701 E 6th and for this game only NCC 1701 F 7th...The NX 01 is an Earth ship and not a Federation starship.

  Because the NX was still in servive when the Federation was formed in the finale of Enterprise's last episode (end of Season 4), I assume it became a Federation starship. Granted, it was an Earth ship when it was commissioned, but due to it's role in helping form the Federation and it's subsequent service in later years under the Federation, it's safe to assume it's a "Federation Starship".

  It was retired right when the charter was signed the Federation did not exist still as what Riker and Troi said at the end...This will lead to the founding of the Federation...so no the NX 01 is not a Federation starship...also manytimes stated in TNG that the Enterprise D was the 5th starship.... Scotty said no bloody A, B,C or D don't remeber him saying no NX since it was not a Federation ship.

  Some might argue that the NX was not a federation ship but a Earth/Starfleet ship but had Enterprise continued on into its 5th season the NX would have been seen as a Federation ship even though she did not start out that way. AND the even though she was retired shortly after the founding of the federation she was still in service at the time of the signing i.e. last episode of Enterprise also at the time of the TNG Episode with Scotty the NX was not even thought of so technically he might have mention the NX had it been but seeing as he was not around for that ship I doubt he would have since the original NCC-1701 was the ship that he served and loved the most.

  More important than whether the 'NX' could have been considered a Federation Starship, they made so many 'mistakes' and so many confusions to the existing timeline, along with not having anything to do with the Roddenberry's, that quite frankly, if 'Enterprise' did not have Star Trek in the title it wouldn't be Trek at all. It nearly killed Star-Trek as a franchise and had some absolutely terrible story telling and whilst it was a nice idea in principle, they messed up putting it into practice. Because of that I don't know anybody that seriously considers it to be cannon and therefore do not accept that the 'NX Class' is even a starship. I know some people here might disagree, but I believe the 'Akiraprise' cannot be classed as a Federation Starship and so the USS Enterprise, NCC-1701-C is the fourth Starship and not just Federation Starship, to bear the name of Enterprise.

  It doesnt matter the NX is not a Federation ship...Enterprise never went past season 4 so anyything that could of been was not and so the Enterprise C is the 4th FEDERATION starship.

  Also that signing was for the Charter that will lead to the Federation....the reason why thye did that was becasue in all of TNG they Enterprise D was the 5th Federation starship which is why they never call the NX 01 a Federation ship and just an earth ship

You are counting ship classes, not ships. The Ncc-1701 was destroyed therefore the NCC1701A is a different shipt, yes they are both Constitiution class but different ships nonetheless

  Wow! What a gorgeous ship! Look at the detail in the saucer section alone, it's amazing! I can't wait to see this ship in game and I will absolutely want it in my fleet. I love the Phaser banks on this ship it just looks so bad a$$. Way to go guys!

  I would love to see the Yeager Class come out at some point. The Amby Looks beautiful though. Always liked its looks over the galaxy.

  The modelmakers tried to make a decent in-between model to fill the gap from the Enterprise B being an excelsior class and well, you know how the D looks. It's not exactly the most gorgeous ship ever to leave Mars, but she's got a bit of an old-timey feel with all those right angles at least

  entilzha89 You forgot another Enterprise, jetnova. There was one between the 1701 and 1701-A. Remember how different Kirk's Enterprise looked in The Motion Picture? There was the NX-01, Constitution 1701, Constitution Refit 1701, then the 1701-A through E. The Enterprise F was never shown on TV or in a movie, so it can't be considered canon. Sir your forgeetting the Refit was the original from th five year mission after an overhaul and refit

  The refit was just the original Constitution after 2 years in spacedock. But it was NOT a different ship. So the counting is exact

  Registration is still NCC-1701, so it is the same ship, just got a refit

  CBS says the F is cannon so it is the Enterpris in TMP is the original it was refitted after the five year mission so that is the same ship so you cannot count that twice

  It does look great. I loved the Ambassador Class, in fact I believe it was the only ship from the show that wasn't in the game (correct me if I have forgot any). I do have to agree with some of the previous comments however. Thank You cryptic for all that you have done, but how about some 25th century ships already? For the Fed and KDF :)

  Another ship from the show still not in game: The Constellation Class, the original Stargazer. Your milage will vary on this one though.

  They've done quite a bit for the KDF ships, believe it or not. If they wanted to properly introduce one more klingon ship from the show that they have yet to, it would be bringing in the K'Vort Bird of Prey. The irony though is that it's still just an oversized B'Rel, which is probably what's keeping them from doing it.
