Embassy Featured Project #3

With the launch of Season 7, fleets gained the opportunity to court the colonists of New Romulus by establishing an Embassy outpost. Similar to Fleet Starbases, from time to time, special projects will become available for fleet’s Embassies. Completion of these special projects will unlock new features to give your embassy more customization and added aesthetics that are akin to the surroundings of New Romulus and its people. Be quick, though – when a special project becomes available, it will only be around for a limited time; you must start the project before the end of the feature. Once you’ve started the project, you can keep working on it until it’s finished, even if the special event ends. As with Starbases, you can only work on one special project at a time, so act fast!
Our next special feature is, "Added Elegance." As construction of the new capital city continues on New Romulus, embassies are also being upgraded to provide more comfortable and peaceful atmospheres. While there is much to do, stopping to relax and watch the fish swim by from a comfy spot is good for both Klingon warriors and Federation officers once in a while.
Completing this project will add enhancements to your Fleet Embassy on New Romulus. The stairway sections of the embassy will be enhanced with fish tanks and seating areas. This special project will be available around 10AM PST on January 31, 2013, until around 10AM PST on February 14, 2013.

Keep checking back to see what’s next on the special project list! We hope you are enjoying Season 7: New Romulus and we’ll see you in-game!

Reminds me of the Confrence table that cost 200,000 Dilithium. Just wrong.
drkfrontiers @ Jan 31st, 2013 7:44AM
just EPIC!

Hope the Klingon one has piranha :p
slavafox @ Jan 31st, 2013 7:05AM
yay, more fish! I'm all for anything that adds a little color to my fleet's embassy/starbase! We haven't missed a single one yet, not gonna do so any time soon! thanks for the cool decorations, keep 'em coming!
jcp26 @ Jan 31st, 2013 6:06AM
Klingons don't like comfy! Their beds don't even have mattresses, it's just a metal frame that you sleep on. And watching fish swim?! Klingons relax by beating the hell out of each other with batleth's or arm wrestling with daggers. Have you ever seen Star Trek? They drink and they fight, that is how a Klingon relaxes.
mkilczewski @ Jan 31st, 2013 5:20AM
The Klingons would have a topless Orion chick dressed as a mermaid in their fishtanks.
bioskyline1
lol that would be worth the 200k dil to have!
cyberpunkfalcon @ Jan 31st, 2013 4:29AM
The klingons would have sharks I think.

"Throw that petaQ in the norgh tank!"

Sounds a little fishy if you ask me!

HA snap :D
aquitaine985 @ Jan 30th, 2013 10:50PM
Nope, sorry. Our fleet just isn't doing the Embassy ones. Dilithium might be in plentiful supply in our fleet but we're not being wasteful. People give enough already.
starfish1701 @ Jan 30th, 2013 10:42PM
This really highlights the problem with the oversized interiors... the chairs look too big and you still have to place tables between each one to try and fill the space. Other than that, this will be a cool addition. Thanks.
britewolf
So like almost every British and American embassy in the world then yeah?
blu3drag0n1977 @ Jan 30th, 2013 8:26PM
You guys do realize this "content" was put into the game at the season update and they are just unlocking the stuff.
hiveman5 @ Jan 30th, 2013 8:10PM
What you know? Its yet another aquarium... Granted some other furniture is included, but what's the obsession with fish tanks? Its nice and all, but I agree with some of the other posters, how about something that adds functionalility considering the cost of Dilithium involved?
vnexus @ Jan 30th, 2013 7:03PM
How bout a Dabo table :) sumthing kool
giarana @ Jan 30th, 2013 5:41PM
Wow what a let down, I'll contribute ZERO to this fishy project. Though now i understand why I always hear the sound of running water at the bottom of embassy staircase. Not worth a single Fleet mark or precious Dil... (My first negative comment, thanx PWE!)
mondoid @ Jan 30th, 2013 5:36PM
Some would say that content is stuff, pretty backgrounds, cool looking gear or ships and new sectors of space/planets. But if there is nothing do then the game would die because players wouldn't stick around for anything. Diablo wouldn't be popular if it consisted of one room where you clicked on diablo and he instantly died. The Devs are giving us stuff to do, thats content.
mkilczewski @ Jan 30th, 2013 5:16PM
Maybe Scotty could put in a story arc designed around the fishtanks, or would that cause to much of a problem?
slavafox
Accepted Mission: "I wonder where that fish did go..."
mkilczewski @ Jan 30th, 2013 5:13PM
This is what Cryptic's "Lead Content Designer" is working on. This is some of the awsome, new "content" that Cryptic is adding to the game. In their mind, the Starbase grinds, and the Embassy grinds, are actually two seperate animals. Did we have a fishtank grind for the Starbase yet? I can't remember because my entire fleet quit, shortly after the Starbase rollout.
lirdek @ Jan 30th, 2013 4:54PM
This game is turning into a grind for glory stuff where the fun has long gone away from it. As I' m about to meet it where it is ( obviously not on sto anymore) , I'm also a bit concerned bout what season 8 will add : more grind events? Please do so , add some more dil sink, rep or whatever stuff project that requires player not having fun ingame. I can then safely leave without any bad feelings ...
mkilczewski
Imagine that, StarFleet has to mobilize a whole fleet to put fishtanks in an embassy. Stupid idea.
spaceblahd @ Jan 30th, 2013 4:38PM
A comfy spot is good for Klingons? Anyone actually know anything about Klingons over there? Anyone catch them on that show...what was it called again?
captaind3 @ Jan 30th, 2013 4:33PM
Y'know. Looking at this it dawns on me. I don't want this in an embassy. I want this on my starship. How about some projects (with a substantially lower dilithium cost of course) that let us unlock customizations like these on our own ships?
spaceblahd
Everybody wins
mkilczewski
How about letting us spend readily available ingame currency, like latinum to do this! What's that you say Dan? There's no money in it for you if you do that?
mikeward1701 @ Jan 30th, 2013 4:10PM
◌ₒ > ºo ₒ◌ oº > oº {}{ {}{ There we go,just saved you 200,000 dilithium :)

kylelocke @ Jan 30th, 2013 3:58PM
I wonder if there will be new story episodes related to the Tholians. A level cap increase would be good too. But really it be cool to also add some story Episodes related to New Romulus and have it so your embassy must be at a certain tier to progress.
logang19 @ Jan 30th, 2013 3:32PM
Any one see there facebook post. Getting really excited.
ballermaris @ Jan 30th, 2013 3:29PM
Seriously, raise the dilithium cap this 8000 a day is not working! Or allow characters on same account to donate their dilithium like is done with E C. Even better allow Fleets to have dilithium banks, set to be used only for the projects and not the purchase of Z point s
bughunter357
theres a way to transfer your dilithium from one toon to another on the same account if you havent figured that out yet try asking someone
sunseahl @ Jan 30th, 2013 3:22PM
The more stuff like this is released... The more the reputation systems is used... The more new factions they make The more Cryptic HAS NO CHOICE but to raise the Dilithium refinement cap, period.
nagyervin
Yup. if you do 5 stf-s a day(roughly 2 hours), you can get 9300 dil with the help of the reputation system: 4800 from the stf-s directly, 1000 from borg neural processors, and 3600 from the earned omega marks.
nagyervin
the 3600 dilithium has a typo, it should be 3500
nalo @ Jan 30th, 2013 2:33PM
well at least its the same for both lol Getting tired of SP's that make FSB's look lik a museum or some kind of resort
