Hello doubleohnine, your kindness has shown what the STO community is all about. you have my upmost repect and thanks. my @handle is @ccarroll1. I hope to see you out there when I return to the United States. On a foot note, I was able to fly a Flag of the United Federation of Planets, outside my company building in Afghanistan underneath the American Flag. Thank you for you support.
doubleohnine
Thanks. But I just tried to email them to you, and typical Cryptic, a free item is Bind to Character on Pickup. So I cant email them away, or sell them either. Sorry man.

Warp Core Design sounds excellent. I really like Dan and despite my reservations with STO I still play on a pretty regular, if casual, basis. But sometimes I just feel like more attention is paid to monetization than to gameplay polish. Things like not being able to turn over vertically (in space!) or the Red Alerts hardly ever working, some shallow mission mechanics, or the dramatic advantage one gets from using certain ships versus others concern and occasionally really frustrate me. I won't complain about lockboxes (today). I like the game. Besides being Star Trek, it has many things going for it. It's true that it has improved greatly since launch and they deserve credit for that, but Dan is very right when he says that it still has a long way to go. I'd love to see it get there.

Warp Core Design. Having an impact on gameplay. As an engineer in my soul this made me very very happy. VERY VERY HAPPY. I want to see this. I'm now officially hyped. This had better be good. My character is a warp engine design specialist. This is my thing.
dracounguis @ Feb 6th, 2013 10:01PM
love how some of the interviews say 'exclusive' interview with X. Real exclusive there, with EIGHT of them there!
absolutwill @ Feb 6th, 2013 6:17PM
Grind Grind Grind, that's all this game is now.
augustusranath @ Feb 6th, 2013 11:46AM
i hope they make a borg faction sometime that would be fun :)
jhighfill @ Feb 5th, 2013 4:24PM
Letting the unrefined Dil go in at lesser value than refined might be a good answer
trektaku @ Feb 5th, 2013 3:04PM
Hey Cryptic, is there a way for me to still get my ships. I am deployed and can not participate in the events. I have been waiting for this ship for 3 years. And congrats on another year well done looking forward to May.
jackson900pwe
The Tier 3 (Commander rank) version of it is going to be permanent, but the Tier 5 (Rear Admiral) version is only available during these events right now. They've talked about putting it in the Fleet Store. I'm also sure that they will eventually put it in the Zen store though they've said that they have no plans to do that right now.

I feel your pain, as I missed a lot during my deployment. Shoot me a PM.

u still have good way to get ships --- give access to ur account to some friend u can trust he can pickup ships for u an rest of stuff ... later u can remove his access to ur account from Account Guard and all is good ... that is easy way... btw for mission to pickup ship u need only 10-minutes its good and fast .... maybe it is buggy sometimes i finish all pickup all stuff but game was bugged i cant collect couple accolades :(

But for you, you can have both my T3 and T5 Ambassadors for free as a thank you for your service. My in game handle is @AGNT009. Post your @ handle here and I'll mail mine to you. Unless they are bound to me, I havnt checked, but they are still boxed up in my bank.

i agree, increasing DL drop is just part of the issue, the real problem is the rate we can refine it. it doesnt matter if we can make 100k DL a day if we can only refine 8k of it. which is a drop in the bucket compared to all that we need it for. if they dont want to outright add more refining, like i suggested in the forum, split the DL costs for projects and items between refined and unrefined. Make some projects take a combination of the two, and some that just outright take unrefined. could also add DOFF missions for refining extra DL, kinda like the contraban mission, but 1:1 unrefined to refined. there are lots of options and i cant believe they arent aware that refining is an issue, but if they increase refining, they will probably nerf DL drops, so idk

answer to ur problems if u have 10- toons (characters) as me u can refine about 80k of dilithium per day then use option to transfer ur dilithium from another characters to ur main and use it for fleet projects or whaterver u need ... btw u u can easy collect in game 8k dil per character couple stf. space/ground sb24 dailys (foundry ) and other stuff and do same for rest of ur chars. for kdf u can easy grab dilithium by doing "empire defense" and neutral zone u also have "path of the warrior" ... its very very easy

It's ok if you have alot of characters but not everyone does. I only have 3 characters at level 50 and dont have the time to play them all the time, plus if you start shifting all your dilithium to one character then that leaves very little scope to get stuff on your other characters, such as gear from the reputation system. It's a good suggestion for the KDF characters though as earning dilithium seems to be easier on that side, but if everyone starts doing that then it just gives Cryptic an excuse not to deal with the issue and raise the cap if people are dealing with it by this method. The fact that we'd have to even consider doing such a thing shows this game needs quite a few improvements and Cryptic in my opinion need to re-think the service they are offering, and put focus on areas that need it as opposed to throwing out more ships and lock boxes (Don't get me wrong, their nice additions, but it just gives the impression their not spending their time working on things that matter to the community to provide a better service).

Here's what I think you could do with fleet projects, so they adjust w/ fleet size. The way it would work would that be it keeps track of thee maximum amount of players a fleet has had, and the projects would adjust to that. Using this, it makes it so people can't cheat the system to lower costs! I think this would be a great improvement Cryptic, so I hope you read this.
sulac74 @ Feb 5th, 2013 12:57PM
They could make it a part of our Fleet base to build Dilithium refinery projects just like the shipyards. The more fleet members contribute to the projects, the more Dilithium we could refine in a day.

You have my vote
saltypineapple @ Feb 5th, 2013 12:48PM
Sorry to say Mr. Stahl but increasing the amount of ore we can obtain doesn't mean anything if we can't refine it. The daily dilithium refinement cap must be increased! Everything now cost dithium and refined is in short supply. I believe a 10,000 refinement cap sound reasonable, don't you! This is in reference to the Massively article.
