MegaCon 2013

From this Friday, March 15th, through Sunday, March 17th, Star Trek, comic-book, sci-fi, and fans of other genres will experience MegaCon 2013 in Orlando, FL. Special Star Trek guests include Sir Patrick Stewart, Jonathan Frakes, Brent Spiner, LeVar Burton, Michael Dorn, Marina Sirtis, Gates McFadden, Denise Crosby, John De Lancie and Wil Wheaton. Although online ticket sales have ended, tickets can still be purchased directly from the Orange County Convention Center begenning Friday, March 15th, at 10:30am EST — they will be sold on-site for all three days of the con. To celebrate this awesome event, the Star Trek Online team is pleased to offer a special in-game item to attendees that, once claimed and opened, contains a unique Holo-Leeta Duty Officer and “Convention Veteran” title for all characters on your account!
You can obtain a code for this special item through a couple different methods (limit one code per player):
- Twitter – Tweet a picture of yourself at the convention to our official Twitter account, @TrekOnlineGame. Make sure you are also following us so we can Direct Message (DM) you a code and instructions on how to claim the above rewards.
- The STO Forums – Send a forum PM to STO Community Manager Brandon Felczer through this link. Under "Recipient Username(s)", enter: pwebranflakes | Under "Title", enter: MegaCon 2013 | In the "Message" field, include a link to a picture of yourself at the convention. Brandon will respond with a code and instructions on how to claim the above rewards.
- Tweets and Messages will be replied to during the week of March 18th.

i was there on saturday but forgot to take a pic of me there. but i took a couple of other pics that put on my facebook. One of them im wearing the band and another is a pic of the banner on the way in. i sent a link and have heard nothing back yet.

I had all the cameras and took all the pictures and video, therefore I have no pictures of myself...I was there all 3 days and attended the TNG event Saturday night (and all TNG panels)...I want my Holo-Leeta Duty Officer...I can show you the pics I took at the convention, just can't think of taking one of myself...

It is a great pity transporters do not exist. Many of us including myself cannot afford to make the trip out there just to get an extra special item. Too bad this is also something I cannot do during Spring Break.

I miss the days when these things were on little cards and stuff so you could pick them up at cons or a friend who was lucky enough to be able to travel around could pick you one up as they went.

Unfortunately, I am at a convention in Korea known as Key Resolve, the defense of South Korea. It would be nice if these rewards were given to lifetimers as a show of appreciation for going the long haul with STO. Of course, based on the date going to LTS will determine how many past ones given to LTS... Just a thought.

Yeah that's confusing I mean she's the Nagus' wife, Quark Industries' premiere entertainment Hologram, top of the line. She should definitely be very rare. And to take it one step further there needs to be a Bynar made Ultra Rare Entertainment hologram named Minuet. But like a full blown assignment chain since I won't be going to a convention anytime soon.

You have that so right. Very Rare or Super Rare even. I live in Boca and even I won't drive to Orlando for a rare. Specially since all my bridge officers are Very Rare already. Its like a demotion.
