Andorian Light Escort

The Andorian Kumari Escort line is named in honor of the first Andorian Battle Cruiser, the Kumari, captained by Commander Thy'lek Shran in the 2150s. The Andorian Light Escort is a lightweight vessel that uses a similar design to Shran's Kumari, but comes equipped with the latest developments in Federation technology. The Kumari line's integrated Wing Cannons are among the most powerful weaponry ever seen in the Alpha Quadrant, designed to deliver powerful bursts of Phaser energy too quickly for an enemy vessel to recover.
The Andorian Light Escort comes with an additional fore weapon slot compared to other ships of its size. This weapon slot is equipped with Light Kumari Phaser Wing Cannons, powerful weapons that scale with the user’s level. This ship unlocks for all Federation characters on an account.
- Minimum Rank: Lieutenant
- Faction: Federation
- Hull Strength: 10,000
- Shield Modifier: 0.95
- Crew: 85
- Weapons: 3 Fore*, 1 Aft
- Device Slots: 2
- Bridge Officer Stations: 1 Ensign Tactical, 1 Ensign Engineering, 1 Ensign Science
- Console Modifications: 1 Tactical, 1 Engineering, 1 Science
- Base Turn Rate: 14 degrees per second
- Impulse Modifier: 0.17
- +5 Weapon Subsystems
- Can Equip cannons
- Equipped with standard Andorian Phasers**
- Comes with Light Kumari Phaser Wing Cannons
* One fore weapon slot is occupied by Light Kumari Wing Cannons. This weapon can be removed and replaced by a different weapon, but it cannot be equipped on ships other an Andorian Light Escort. Only one may be equipped per ship at a time.
**These ships come pre-equipped with Andorian Phaser Weapons. These do not allow you to purchase the Mark XI Andorian Phasers on the Dilithium Store, however. To purchase those items, you must own a ship an Andorian Kumari Escort, an Andorian Charal Escort, or an Andorian Khyzon Escort.
After claiming the Andorian Starter Pack from the ‘Bundles’ tab of the C-Store, if you discharge the ship or wish to claim it on alternate characters, please visit the “Ship Requisitions” contact in a shipyard.

tinblue @ May 13th, 2013 4:03AM
I have not recieved any STO items having pre-purchased the Heroes of the North Pack. And your support links aren't working so I cannot contact you. Too Many Redirects!!
fullmetalpope @ Apr 18th, 2013 4:07AM
After these free additions the retail price is now $700.00. Ugh. Please take this insane price down PWE. You are really making yourselves look bad here.
andyxvers2 @ Apr 12th, 2013 9:20AM
is this still available? is this offer an account unlock? redeemable on multiple characters? or is this only a 1 time consumable that is only good once for whatever character you use it on?
badgerpants999 @ Apr 7th, 2013 7:59AM
I have to ask. Will the same benefit, I.E. a Teir 1 escort with special equipment, be available for all factions come the Legacy of Romulus expansion? I have no use for this for my Federation or Klingon char's but would realy appreciate a similar bundle being available when I start on my Romulan character! And I'm sure anyone starting a Klingon character for the first time would like some of the same benefits as well!
tilvius
I would like to know this also! As I am will be playing STO when Legacy of Romulus launches !
kirkepsilon1 @ Apr 4th, 2013 3:38PM
Right here is my two cents on this, first of all I bought the founders pack before they announced these awesome offers. For me the items mentioned in this bonus are free and that is epic since I haven't had to pay any extra money towards these items. The whole point of these items is to be a bonus to buying the pack not to force people into playing STO or forcing STO members to buy the pack :). As a rare STO player I have friends which means that I have better things to do than spend all day every day thinking up Illogical and poorly worded, spelt and mostly grammatically Incorrect arguments to what is in fact a BONUS rather than a reason to buy the pack.
nuumykins @ Mar 29th, 2013 4:26PM
I just picked mine up on the C Store..
robbievw @ Mar 28th, 2013 8:41AM
So just like the other promo codes those of us who have purchased the Hero of the North were supposed to already get, this one has yet to arrive. After all they hype and waiting, was this all just a scam?
manathayria
This one is all characters and suppose to be applied to the account already. No promo code needed.
ebrithil1 @ Mar 26th, 2013 3:23AM
While I'm not buying a Hero Pack, I think that this deal would've been more attractive to STO players if it contained a Romulan T1 ship and starter pack, or you got to choose which faction you want it in. As for you people that purchased the HERO pack prior to this promo, I HIGHLY recommend you check to make sure it will apply to you and not just to people who buy it now.
lysorn @ Mar 25th, 2013 7:45PM
I purchased the Neverwinter pack. I'm kind of bummed that the goodies PerfectWorld is giving away only applies to lowbies. How about something that could be used by a level-capped character of either faction in STO, instead of a lieutenant Starfleet character? Even something as simple as some random duty officers would be appreciated. A LT-level bridge officer that I will not use isn't an incentive.
sheepdog3 @ Mar 25th, 2013 6:02PM
When were we supposed to get notification?? On the 22nd??? I havent gotten a key or anything in my email.
yahtzeeman @ Mar 24th, 2013 11:45AM
I played the NW open beta. It throws so much "PAY TO GET THIS" at you, it's almost nauseating. I'll be sticking with less intrusive MMOs.
yahtzeeman
Er, closed beta. Not open.
rustyblades @ Mar 24th, 2013 8:59AM
You only get one Andorian Light Escort per account - I figured it would be a legacy unlock but it isn't. Kind of cheap since the ship is a tier 1 ship only technologically limited to the first 10 levels of play (you an use it later, but you'd be outgunned since tier 2 ships have more officer slots and stations).
PWE_BranFlakes
You actually get it for all characters on your account. Read the blog for details on how to claim it on an alt character.
archivist7 @ Mar 24th, 2013 6:40AM
1) As someone suffering from severe arachnophobia, I saw the entry for the "Armored Spider" mount and it confirmed that this is another MMO I won't be able to play. I'll stick with STO and CO... 2) "A $549 value, yours for only $199" BUT WAIT, THERE'S MORE ! IF YOU ORDER RIGHT NOW, YOU WILL GET A SECOND ONE FOR HALF PRICE !... no, not really but this is what it sounds like - a cheap huckster trick.
robbievw @ Mar 23rd, 2013 11:05AM
Still waiting on my email with the key for my new ship
captbipto @ Mar 23rd, 2013 9:26AM
Why do they always miss out on giving KDF some bonus goodies as well. Not to mention having some items for Romulans, for when the expansion is released. I would have liked to have seen items for all the factions. Just seems like poor marketing to ignore the other factions. Please do not release faction specific packs, $200 for the NWN and include bonus items for all STO factions.
fazemladaiya @ Mar 22nd, 2013 12:55PM
Oh my GODDESS! Serious mood swing here. Barely any sleep from working insane overtime, the cat wakes me up, then I had to do tech support for someone else who botched a server configuration. I thought my day was going to be terrible, then a friend refers me to the announcement on the new Romulan Faction . . . WOW! . . . and then he links me to THIS! And I already bought the Hero pack! YES!!!!!!! Thank you, Cryptic, for adding to my already awesome purchase. I just went from being ticked off to being in the best mood ever this month! I can't wait to add that Andorian cruiser and goodies to my collection. All for less than a day's pay :)
therumancer23 @ Mar 22nd, 2013 10:30AM
My opinion is that the entire "Gift Pack" seems to be more of an advertisement to get people to try other PWE games, rather than a real benefit/perk for those who are already dedicated players. The idea being that if you slap down $200 here, your the kind of person who will probably spend money on other games if you try them. In of itself I have no real problem with this, but I *do* feel there should be something included in these packs (if they are going to do them) for people who are already veteran players of those games. In the case of the STO pack a weapon (personal or ship based) that levels with you and can be used throughout the entire game would be nice, a console could also fill this role. I bought the $200 Neverwinter pack before this added promo so I'd imagine my opinion doesn't much matter, but I do tend to agree that they should do a little more here.
ebrithil1
So do you only get the gift pack if you buy the NW pack now? Or will your previous purchase count as well?
westoz @ Mar 22nd, 2013 7:25AM
i'm looking forward to playing Neverwinter and I can't wait for the Romulus faction, does cryptic have to make so much money as fast as possible fact of the matter is both STO and NW will be as big then better than WoW to make that so i suggest 1000 day gamers (all respect due) have such a huge advantage to those who have just started, they'll never be as strong as those with a 300 day "headstart" free this free that don't you know in some places a download of 1 gig is expensive by its self. btw thanks for the free enjoyment the only cure for boredom.
hesht @ Mar 22nd, 2013 6:57AM
I'm surprised at the number of people complaining here. It seems more like an added incentive for people who want to buy and play Neverwinter rather than people who play STO and want to buy more stuff for the game. Could be worth it to some people.
finneous
I'm surpirsed by the lack of a zen stipend that will be granted to people that pay for the Hero pack. Don't get me wrong, but early beta access is not worth the loss of the zen stipend in NW.
finneous
Also, the lack of the stipend which, IMHO, *should* come with a $200 investment (as it was done in STO) is what stops me cold from buying the NW pack.
finneous
Also, the stipend which is not there, IMHO, *should* come with a $200 investment (as it was done in STO) is what stops me cold from buying the NW pack.
fazemladaiya
Just ignore them, Hesht. Yes, it is an added incentive and it also made my day to read this as a current HERO and Guardian pack owner. All this did was boost my respect and confidence in my purchase. So to me it was worth it. And as soon as they add more stuff to the STO Z-Store I'll be buying that too :)
spencerelden
I think the replies here are confusing the founders packs with lifetime subscriptions. There is no optional subscription/gold for Neverwinter as it's a totally free to play model, not a hybrid. Therefore, no stipend.
bigblackafrica @ Mar 21st, 2013 4:59PM
Well the stuff you get is nice... but not at all worth $200. I don't have any interest in playing Neverwinter but I might consider it if the price weren't so outrageous.
staraa @ Mar 21st, 2013 4:06PM
I hate to defend all the forum whiners, but in this particular case, they are totally right. This is a REALLY bad deal. For $200, considering that two of the three Neverwinter Beta weekends are over, they could have at least thrown in a T5 ship as well as the starter. That made the Steam offer pretty cool. On the other hand, the May expansion looks sick, as does Neverwinter, so at least we know they're not just using the cash to litter the floor.
fotzik
Yeah because getthing exclusive access to a background for a race with unique cosmetics and racial is not a good deal? Or the fact that you get more character slots, bags, high lvl endgame item, exclusive and unique mount companion, vanity items, access to vip area and vip login priority.. the list goes on and on..
riftshaw @ Mar 21st, 2013 2:19PM
Please don't say it's free when you have to pay for it Use common sense, seriously.
dorminosarjas
I agree ... It's free for only 200$ Honestly, that is misleading as hell right there.
tilvius
I think your misunderstand. $200 for Neverwinter stuff as stated on that list. What every they give from games is free.
fazemladaiya
This is such an uneducated outlook, but okay. I already bought both the Guardian and HERO packs, and that was before any of this came about. So to wake up today and see this announcement . . . yes . . . this stuff, to me, is free. Why? I already got what I bought and paid for. Anything extra that comes afterward is free as a perk for being a supporter of the game and the developer.
commodoreobvious @ Mar 21st, 2013 11:32AM
I think everyone (a) needs to chill out and (b) get some perspective. This is a BONUS for buying something for NEVERWINTER. If you're not interested in Neverwinter, it isn't for you. If you are interested in Neverwinter, it's a perk for getting something for that game. Like it or not, PW and Cryptic are businesses, and if you like playing their game, they need to make money some how. This ship is the Andorian equivalent of the Oberth or NX, and it will probably pop up later in the cstore for 500 zen or something. If it doesn't appeal to you, don't complain, just don't get it. If you want to play Neverwinter, it's a nice, but probably frivolous bonus. If you are going to play Neverwinter but haven't tried Sto yet, it's an inticement to try this game. If you don't fall into either camp, then don't whine, because the entire game isn't just about you, it's about all of us together.
cyresofbsgo @ Mar 21st, 2013 8:03AM
I think the bigest insult here is that all of the "free" things for STO from this are for "FEDERATION" no Klingon stuff at all. 100% useless to Klingon mains, not to mention, when Rom is playable, the ship is "fed", the box, though a few things may work for a lvl 1 Rom (gear) the Boffs? nope, faction spacific for FED!!! so... get what? a set of MK II gear that will be out of date, by the time, I come back from the first Bio break, and consumables that ... shoot, I probably won't even touch, they will eather be sold for a hand of EC, or discarded if they are "value 0"
therift2009 @ Mar 21st, 2013 7:50AM
